“I worked with Alistair at IMMAF and he is one of the most professional commercially people I have worked with. His experience and knowledge of the world of MMA is second to none. He always provided an informed point of view, commanding instant respect from colleagues. Alistair is passionate and creates a “can do” attitude that propels those around him to try and meet his high standards. He leads by example and is someone who instils a belief that you can achieve any result as part of an effective team.”

  • DR RANDA BASCHARON

It gives me great pleasure to write a professional letter of recommendation for Alistair Pettitt.

I have known Alistair Pettitt over the last 10 years, while working with him on multiple projects with the International MMA Federation. I serve as the head of the medical committee for the International MMA Federation (IMMAF). Since 2014, multiple times a year, I would work alongside Alistair Pettitt, who was the director of international events. I found Alistair to be a strong leader who implemented and executed operational strategies for the IMMAF.

Alistair is solution-oriented and can address problems in an efficient and successful manner. He is excellent with operations and logistics. He also had a tremendous amount of worldwide experience. His role with IMMAF required him to deal with challenging market conditions, cultural differences, local regulations, and limitations. Despite many obstacles Alistair was consistently able to deliver results, even in adverse working conditions. He proved time and time again to be an effective team leader. He supported his team and encouraged a positive working environment. He prided himself on delivering successful results through positive and creative thinking. He has been well-respected over the past 10 years with the organization and has been instrumental in building the IMMAF organization with his skillset.

Alistair is a very driven individual, and I have had the pleasure of working with him for many years and seen his personal development flourish. Alistair is a unique individual in that he has fundamentals of an exceptional character. He exemplifies a high level of emotional intelligence, which is also an important determinant of what makes an individual successful. Emotional intelligence otherwise known as emotional quotient or EQ is the ability to understand, use, and manage on emotions and positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, and overcome challenges and diffuse conflicts.

Alistair uses these abilities effectively to serve as a leader and has done so for many years. He has conflict resolution skills, which are impressive. His ability to work with diverse groups and individuals is due to his universal respect he receives from his peers. Nevertheless, Alistair has earned respect due to his leadership, communication skills, and strong demeanor. Most importantly, Mr. Pettitt is an individual of integrity and high moral standards who can be trusted to keep his word. For the above reasons and without reservation, I believe that Alistair Pettitt would be an excellent candidate for any company.

  • JEFF MEYER

“I was initially impressed with Alistair’s work ethic, communication skills and professional demeanour when I first had the pleasure of working with him in 2014. During the three years Alistair and I worked together, he consistently demonstrated all of these qualities and more, and I heartily endorse his professionalism and work ethic.

Alistair is reliable, dedicated and eternally upbeat. His ability to make on the spot decisions is unparalleled, and it is because of his excellence in this area that I asked for his assistance regularly. Alistair multitasks effectively and is able to handle a high-paced work environments. He consistently met or surpassed all expectations and his written reports were accurate and thorough. Of particular value to me as an event promoter, Alistair’s team player mind-set, ability to supervise many aspects of event promotion and unwavering commitment to exceeding goals and beating deadlines. I regularly received unsolicited praise from colleagues commending Alistair’s outstanding level of work ethic, professionalism and follow-through.

Organised and diligent, Alistair quickly makes difficult decisions and he also attended optional professional-development seminars offered through the world. He is valuable member of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation. Alistair is a hardworking, top-performing promotion professional. He has my highest recommendation.”

  • ISOBEL CARNWATH

“I worked with Alistair for 8 years in IMMAF's senior leadership team to develop an international governing body from its start-up phase. IMMAF provided an immensely demanding and challenging environment, in which Alistair has shown great tenacity and a capacity to work extremely hard to deliver impressive results.

As Director of International Events, Alistair was responsible for heading the development of IMMAF’s unique amateur competition platform and a global calendar of events across 5 continents, with flagship tournaments spanning 5 cages over 6 days in an industry-first. This has seen Alistair forge effective working relationships with Host Federations and local workforces in uncharted territories, often with very short lead times and variable resources. It has required the implementation of IMMAF’s high medical standards and governance policies, and Alistair's direct engagement with national teams and federations to organise the participation of up to 600 athletes.

Alistair stands out for the enthusiasm and energy he brings to all projects. He is a great people person and shines in his ability to build and inspire loyal, committed and skilled operational teams, and maintain enduring professional relationships across countries underpinned by genuine friendships. His infectious optimism means he is unphased by any challenge and remains reactive and solution-focused under immense pressure, e.g. in successfully organising large-scale events in an unpredictable COVID landscape.

There are few people more knowledgeable about the overall organisation of MMA competitions, and even less about the organisation of well-governed, multiple-day tournaments of IMMAF’s scale.”

  • RICKY WRIGHT

“I’ve had the privilege and pleasure of working with Alistair for many years now, since before he got involved with the IMMAF. The first thing that stands out about him is unrivalled passion. If Ali is passionate about something he pursues it with every once of his being, whether it be cricket, Leicester City or his number one passion; MMA. You could say Ali is one of the lucky ones who has turned his passion into a profession, but luck has nothing to do with it. Ali is one of the hardest workers in the game, with a keen eye for detail, brilliant people skills and not afraid to get his hands dirty. Alistair leads from the front, and I for one am proud to follow.”

  • DANNY CORR

“In my opinion it is not without coincidence that IMMAF has became the force it is as a direct result of the involvement of Alistair Pettitt. I have been working with Alistair since the inception of Ulster MMA as a body within IMMAF and I can honestly say that his work ethic, attitude to finding resolutions and dealing with everything from the minutia to the bigger issues is second to none. It is irrelevant to Alistair whether it is the early hours of the morning or midnight, he will always deal with whatever issue or need that you have. This realisation that IMMAF is a world body and as such needs full time attention is the essence of his and IMMAF’s success, they go hand in hand. Personally I have presented Alistair with many opportunities to assist us and he has always came up with workable solutions. I would like to Thanks Alistair on behalf of Ulster MMA and look forward to a long a prosperous relationship.”

  • CARL BOOTH

I am thrilled to write a testimonial for my friend Alistair Pettitt. I've had the pleasure of working with Alistair for many years. I can say without hesitation that he is an exceptional individual who has made a significant impact in the UK MMA and amateur MMA scenes.

I first met Alistair when he was running the Fight UK show in the early stages of my MMA career. Alistair did a fantastic job of building a platform for me and many other UK athletes to grow and gain experience. He is an expert in his field, and his dedication to the sport is evident in his success with Fight UK.

Later, Alistair joined the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF), where he played a pivotal role in the company's success. Alistair's contributions to IMMAF have helped elevate the organisation's profile, and his professionalism and willingness to help others have endeared him to many.

I can attest that Alistair is always willing to help others, and he's been supportive towards me and anyone I know. I have never heard anyone speak ill about him. He is a professional through and through, and his passion for developing mixed martial arts as a sport is truly inspiring.

In conclusion, Alistair Pettitt is an exceptional individual who has made an incredible impact on the MMA community. He is an asset to the UK MMA and the worldwide amateur MMA scenes, and I do not doubt that he will continue to impact the sport for many years to come significantly.

  • PREM KUMAR

I am delighted to provide a testimonial for Alistair Pettitt, Director of International Events at IMMAF, and my experience working for him as the Events Operations Manager from 2017 through the COVID-19 pandemic and up until the recent IMMAF World Championships 2022 in Belgrade.

I first met Alistair at the IMMAF Asian Opens 2017 in Singapore and ended up working with him at every IMMAF Championship ever since. Working alongside Alistair has been a privilege and a pleasure. His leadership and expertise have been instrumental in ensuring that the events we organized together were a huge success. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Alistair was able to pivot our event strategy to ensure that we could still deliver top-notch events in a safe and responsible manner.

Alistair's attention to detail and meticulous planning have been the foundation of the success of the events we have organized together. His ability to manage multiple teams, vendors, and stakeholders has been nothing short of remarkable. He has always been available to provide guidance and support whenever required, and his leadership style has fostered an environment of collaboration and teamwork.

What I admire most about Alistair is his unwavering dedication to the sport of MMA and his commitment to promoting its growth worldwide. He has been a champion of diversity and inclusion in the sport, and his efforts have been reflected in the events we have organized together. Alistair's passion for the sport is infectious, and it has been a pleasure to work alongside him.

Besides that, Alistair recently completed the MSc in Sport Business, Policy and Management from Manchester Metropolitan University alongside me. Throughout the course, Alistair demonstrated a remarkable level of dedication, enthusiasm, and intellectual curiosity. He consistently delivered high-quality work, engaged actively in classroom discussions, and demonstrated a keen interest in exploring new ideas and perspectives.

Alistair's strong analytical skills, combined with his passion for sport and business, made him an asset to the course. He was able to apply his theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, demonstrating a deep understanding of the complexities of the sports industry. Moreover, Alistair's ability to collaborate effectively with his peers was evident throughout the course. He was always willing to share his insights and ideas with others, and he was an active and engaged member of group projects.

Overall, I believe Alistair's combination of academic excellence, passion for sport, and collaborative spirit makes him an excellent candidate for any future opportunities in the sports industry. In summary, it has been an honour to work for Alistair Pettitt as the Events Operations Manager, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a capable, skilled, dedicated, and passionate event director. His contributions to the MMA community are invaluable, and I have no doubt that he will continue to make a significant impact in the years to come.

  • JUSTIN BROWN

“It is my pleasure to give a personal recommendation for Alistair Pettitt as he continues with his professional career. It has been an honour to work with and get to know him over the last 2+ years. Alistair is the consummate professional and his attention to detail is astounding. I have personally witnessed his demeanour in high-stress situations and I have full faith in his ability to make the right decisions regardless of pressure or influence.

He has proven time and again that he is reliable, honest and his integrity is without compromise. He has a ‘team first’ mentality; he is selfless, motivating and truly engaged. His positive attitude is an asset that tends to bring out the best in everyone who works around him. Alistair has also proven his ability for creative solutions. He is forward thinking and always leaning toward progression which yields first-rate results. His constant willingness to pursue education and improvement is a testament to his unwavering dedication.”

  • DAVID LETHERBY

“I have worked with Alistair and the Fight UK team for a number of shows as a commentator and judge. I’ve found Alistair and the Fight UK team extremely professional to deal with. Alistair doesn’t cut any corners, using extremely experienced officials including multiple officials that have also worked on behalf of the UFC. Alistair also has a reputation for looking after the athletes well and employing extremely fair matchmaking. Personally I believe Alistair’s skills as a matchmaker at the difficult amateur MMA level in the UK are second to none. Many promotions in the UK are built around making a profit (which of course is completely understandable). Alistair and Fight UK however do seem to have a set of standards and ideals that do not waver despite the increased financial implications. In my opinion Alistair and Fight UK are a credit to the UK MMA scene and prove that a regional domestic show can maintain high standards on the level of much larger organisations.”

  • DOUGLAS BURCH

“I first met Alistair Pettitt at the 2015 International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) Amateur World Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada which was at the time, the largest Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) tournament in history. The mission of IMMAF is to get MMA included in the Olympic Games. While I fully support that goal, I was impressed at how much closer IMMAF is to bringing that dream to fruition than I originally assumed. Alistair’s role at the tournament was Event Director. As an official (Referee and Judge) I had many opportunities to interface with him and was impressed by his clear minded approach and easy manner.

Again in 2016, I was selected as an official for the World Championships, again in Las Vegas. Alistair had the same position as the previous year and again I had the pleasure of working with him. Once again, a successful event and a new MMA event record in terms of the number of athletes and countries participating. In September 2016 I was offered the opportunity to attend the All African Championships in Johannesburg, South Africa in an expanded role. The tournament was primarily staffed with local volunteers and officials. Due to distance and timing, Alistair attended not only as Event Director but also the onsite IMMAF Executive. I worked side by side with Alistair in the lead-up to, during and post tournament phases. The tournament was by every measure a success. Alistair showed skill well beyond that of the already challenging job of Event Director transitioning between the rigor and robustness of IMMAF regulatory processes and the integration of human and cultural elements required for any large multi-nation athletic event. His ability to execute and manage tactical efforts while maintaining strategic alignment and sport integrity is very impressive.

I would challenge anyone to find someone with more extensive MMA experience (athlete, coach, manager, promoter, executive) and I guarantee you won’t find anyone with more love and passion for the sport.”

  • GRAEME CARTMELL

“Alistair Pettitt has set a high standard as a manager in a such progressive and dynamic sport as Mixed Martial Arts, always willing to work on ensuring the best for his athletes and the promotion they are signed to, through honesty and sense of conviction. I know when putting forward a proposal, it’s always met with the highest regard form Alistair and then relayed in a truth and clarity to the athlete which often results in a great working relationship being created between the athlete and the promotion. This hard to do for a manager, but has been achieved in my working relationship with Alistair.”

  • LEON ROBERTS

“I have worked with the Promotion Fight UK and its promoter/owner, Alistair Pettit for several years. There are numerous reasons why I enjoy this professional relationship and envisage a long and healthy connection between myself and Fight UK in the future. Alistair is clearly someone who is involved in the sport of MMA for the right reasons, his work ethic and promotion illustrate this. He clearly knows and researches the fighters who apply their trade in the Fight UK arena as fighters are matched well and there are no mismatches which so often appear in combat sports.

From an officials perspective Alistair knows that once the show starts he can confidently hand over to the officials he has sought to work on his promotion. He seeks out professional officials so that he can be confident that the fighters on his promotion are well looked after and are in the safest hands possible, this includes the medical team, the backstage team, the judges and the referees. So many times a promoter will cut corners and try to save money by not using experienced officials, not with Alistair, he knows and understands that the growth of MMA and his promotion is very much reliant upon using the right personnel. This again is a reflection upon Alistair’s enthusiasm and understanding of MMA.

Fight UK gives a great platform for the amateur aspect of the sport, which sometimes is overshadowed by professional MMA. The grass roots level of MMA is something Alistair and myself share a mutual passion for and this is another reason why I support Alistair and his promotion. Even though the fighters are at the amateur stage of their career, Fight UK treats them as professionals and gives them a great platform to showcase their skills and gain the experience necessary to move into the professional ranks should they choose this route.”

  • JOSH FOSTER

“I have known Alistair for 3 years, and to date, our dealings have been nothing but positive. Unlike several Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) promoters I have dealt with, Alistair’s professionalism and general organisation of his events are, in my experience, second to none. Fight UK are a very impressive MMA promotion. Professionalism of the event organisers is extremely important for fighters as bad communication and dishonesty can interrupt a fighter’s preparation and general mind state, particularly on the day of competition. This is not the case with Alistair and his staff at Fight UK. Alistair and the team offer excellent communication, honesty, and most importantly, provide a safe and friendly environment for the athletes who have the pleasure competing on his shows. If I were to describe Alistair outside of a specific MMA setting, I would say he is a pleasure to work with, honest, possesses excellent communication skills, and guarantees attention to detail to ensure any of his endeavours (work or MMA related) reach a high standard.”

  • JASON FUNRESS

“In a short space of time, Alistair has taken the Fight UK brand off the ground and forged it as one of the most consistent and exciting events in the country. As part of the media covering the sport of MMA, Alistair has always been professional and more than helpful to www.YourMMA.tv.”

  • MARK CRAIG

“I first encountered Alistair in the build up to the 2015 IMMAF World Championship competition in Las Vegas. It was very evident that Alistair was not only dedicated and driven but was also very capable. Although not a participant in 2015, I was present, and was impressed with Alistair’s endless energy and effort.

Following on into 2016 tournament, the level of the event was raised to a new level and, although many people’s efforts made it a success, Alistair was a driving force in making it run as well as it did. In between tourneys I’ve remained in touch and have followed his travels around the world where he is tirelessly endeavouring to raise the profile, participation and acceptance of MMA on all fronts.

In all of my dealings, and through first hand observations, he has always shown utmost dedication to his passion, respect and honesty in all his interactions with colleagues, competitors, coaches and other stakeholders.”

  • DUNCAN GIBB

“As a local authority North West Leicestershire District Council have a long and successful track record in hosting external hire events within our leisure facilities along with promoting our own internal events. As such we believe that we are well qualified to judge and comment on the individual merits of hirers that we work with. Fight UK MMA approached us in 2010 and on the back of a number of meetings we agreed to host what was their first event. Even at this inaugural stage it was obvious that we were entering into a working partnership with a highly professional team and it came as little surprise to not only witness an attendance of 400 spectators to this first event, but to gauge the hugely positive feedback from an appreciative and knowledgeable audience.

Over the subsequent four years that have passed since, our venues have hosted a further six Fight UK MMA events and that have increased in terms of both spectator numbers and the associated revenue that we have generated through bar and catering sales. In terms of spectator numbers these have risen to 800 attendees. Hirers often comment that NWLDC are quite stringent in terms of the expectations placed on hirers, however as experienced event venue providers and promoters we do not compromise when it comes to ensuring that robust planning and risk assessments are in place prior to any event taking place. As with the quality of their shows (which are now championed as some of the best in the UK) Fight UK MMA’s attention to detail when it comes to both planning and health and safety are of the highest standard.

Fight UK MMA have now become the benchmark that we promote to any potential new hirers of our venues in terms of a model that we believe will not only satisfy our demands, but from the hirers perspective will more than likely lead to them realising a successful event. We certainly hope to work with them for many years to come.”

  • YONI GOTTLIEB

“I have worked with (and at events, for) Alistair Pettitt for over 7 years now, and have always found him to be strikingly available, responsive, supportive and solution led. Even against the highly stressful backdrop of a large-scale event, where Alistair personally takes responsibility for literally hundreds of moving parts, these qualities persist; Alistair will respond almost always immediately whatever time of day or night, and take ownership of finding a fix to whatever the issue is. As well as being one of the hardest working individuals I have ever encountered, Alistair shows leadership, both by example, and in noticing and appreciating the efforts of others. On a personal level, I find Alistair to be loyal, caring, and good fun!”

  • CHRISTOPHER EASLEY

“I have had the great pleasure to work with Alistair on a number of projects, I can honestly say it has been a very rewarding experience. Alistair’s calm efficient manner has both impressed and taught many of his employees, he has certainly helped myself grow and overcome a number of challenges.

As a leader and manager I have found him approachable and willing to listen to other views and then empower the individual, whoever they are regardless of position to find the best solution, I feel his greatest quality is the ability to step aside and allow his people to shine, therefore he shows his maturity and qualities as both a leader and a developer of people.

I have no hesitation in recommending Alistair for any senior management position within any environment, not just the Mixed Martial Arts world, and I look forward to working together with Alistair on many more projects in the future.”

  • MARK WOODARD

“I have known Alistair since the start of Fight UK and have worked for him ever since. I find him to knowledgeable about MMA and his match making skills are awesome. He is always willing and able to take on board suggestions and advice. Fight UK is one of the best shows in the country especially as far as the Amateur side is concerned, Alistair has a knack of matching some great fights. In my dealings with Alistair I have found him to be honest and forthright and to be honest I wish all promoters were the same.”

  • BEN CARTLIDGE

“One of the reasons that Fight UK has continued to grow in both status and reputation is, without question, the passion and matchmaking ability of Alistair Pettitt. Consistently even fights are a hallmark throughout the promotion, in both professional and amateur bouts, and Alistair’s enthusiastic and methodical approach are central to this success.”

  • ROY BILLINGTON

“Alistair has garnered the respect of his peers since launching Fight UK in 2009 and since then I’ve always been highly impressed with how he markets his brand and the solid fight cards he puts on.”

  • DENSIGN WHITE

Alistair joined the Senior management Team of IMMAF in 2015 in his current role of events and championship Director.

Alistair has a wide range of responsibilities and skills that he has carried out very successfully for IMMAF.

These include all the logistics of organizing an international calendar of championships globally.

Alistair’s role relies on his ability to communicate with more than 70 federations, managing team registrations to our online platform, managing venues, health and safety and financial control of budgets.

In addition, Alistair is responsible for in event volunteers and also line manages a number of salaried IMMAF staff working in key critical areas to the success of the event, including regulatory affairs, athlete equipment, medals, flags, anthems, Anti-doping, medical support, data management and providing event reports to the CEO.

Alistair will throw himself 100% into whatever he does until the task is completed to a gold standard. He is organised and methodical in his approach to every task.

  • GEORGE SALLFELDT

I am thrilled to provide a glowing testimonial for Alistair who is an exceptional events manager that I have had the pleasure of working with. Throughout my career, I have seen many event managers come and go, but this individual stands out as one of the best!

Alistair has an incredible ability to do a lot with few resources, which is a valuable skill in the events industry. Even when faced with limited budgets or challenging timelines, he always manages to deliver high-quality events that exceed expectations.

One of the things that impressed me the most about Alistair is his ability to handle crisis situations that suddenly arise. Whether it's a last-minute change in the schedule or an unexpected issue with the venue, he remains calm and composed, coming up with creative solutions on the spot.

His expertise in managing many moving parts is unparalleled. He is great at detailed planning, ensuring that every aspect of the event is carefully thought out and executed to perfection. From logistics to catering to entertainment, he leaves no stone unturned.

Finally, his talent in managing people at events is second to none. Whether it's coordinating with officials, liaising with coaches, or leading a team of event staff, he’s are a natural leader with a warm and approachable personality.

Overall, I cannot recommend Alistair highly enough. His professionalism, expertise, and ability to deliver outstanding events makes him a true asset to any organization. If you're looking for someone who can bring your event to life and ensure its success, look no further than this exceptional events manager!

  • STEVE STEELE

It’s been my pleasure to work under Alistair at IMMAF. I witnessed him handle multiple, complex situations with relative ease. He understood my individual strengths and placed me in the exact right positions, and I believe he did the same with each of my coworkers. Alistair made it a joy to work all those grueling hours and he was right there with us the whole time. He is a driven man with laser focus all while being kind and gentle. A rare combination in this world.

  • Fraser Opie

It is difficult to express the full extent of my gratitude towards Alistair Pettitt. From the moment he recognised my untapped potential and lack of direction in my professional MMA career, he took it upon himself to provide the guidance and support I desperately needed. Hailing from South Africa, I had always been intrigued by the prospect of competing in the EFC. Alistair not only established contact with the organisation on my behalf, but also secured opportunities beyond my wildest expectations, which included a chance to compete on the UFC’s ultimate fighter and be on set as an extra in the movie Kick Ass 2!

Furthermore, I had the privilege of competing in Alistair’s promotion, Fight UK. I was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and organisation displayed throughout the event. In summary, Alistair Pettitt has played a pivotal role in my career, and his contributions have left a lasting impact on my life as a professional MMA athlete.

  • VITO PAOLILO

I had the pleasure to work with Alistair for many years and to have his guidance and support during the organization of several IMMAF events that we hosted in Italy (Seniors & Juniors Europeans Championship in 2019 and 2022 and the first World Youth Championship in 2019) and he was a major contributor to the success of those events.

As Director of International Events at International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF), Alistair demonstrated exceptional leadership and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of the complexities of running large-scale events.

During his time at IMMAF, Alistair was responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of numerous international competitions. He was instrumental in ensuring that each event was conducted with the utmost professionalism and efficiency, and that the experience for athletes, officials, and spectators was second to none.

In addition to his expertise in event management, Alistair is an excellent person and team player. He worked closely with colleagues and volunteers to ensure that everyone was aligned with the event objectives and that all logistical and operational challenges were effectively addressed. He was always willing to go above and beyond to achieve the best possible outcomes.

  • JUSTIN LAWRENCE

As the President of the Mixed Martial Arts Federation of Australia, I've had the privilege of collaborating with numerous professionals in our industry, but few have left an impression as lasting as Alistair Pettitt. I have known Alistair for over eight years now, and throughout this period, he has been instrumental in shaping and driving the growth of Mixed Martial Arts globally and provided significant guidance to myself and the MMA community here in Australia.

Alistair's skill as an exceptional events manager is unparalleled. Amid the countless individuals I've worked with, he stands tall as one of the finest. His knack for stretching resources, managing budgets, and working under challenging timelines has consistently culminated in high-quality events that exceed expectations.

The world of Mixed Martial Arts can be unpredictable. From last-minute changes to unexpected venue issues, crises aren't uncommon. Yet, Alistair has repeatedly demonstrated an unwavering ability to navigate these situations with ease. His attention to detail and meticulous planning have been the bedrock of every successful event he’s organised. Whether it's coordinating logistics, catering, or entertainment, Alistair's comprehensive planning ensures that every element is executed to perfection. He seamlessly manages multiple teams, vendors, and stakeholders, fostering an environment of collaboration and teamwork with his approachable leadership style.

  • SIMON STEPHENS

I’ve been in broadcasting for over 35 years, but I struggle to recall anyone I’ve met in that time with such a unique skillset as Alistair. It requires a special brand of diplomacy and professionalism to host events on all corners of the planet across a dizzying variety of cultures and yet deliver a world-class product in spades.

His contribution to the sport of mixed-martial arts and dedication to its wider acceptance in markets that are historically reluctant to its uptake is far to often overlooked, Alistair has done some serious hard yards for the well-being of athletes in grassroots MMA across the planet and his achievement as such truly dwarf those who garner the headlines and snappy posts as supposed forebearers of our industry. Not that it bothers Alistair; his brand of realism and humility is what makes him so successful as a project manager in live sporting events, one of the few who always has his team’s backs and rolls up his sleeves whatever the situation with ironclad ethics and morals that make him standout in a difficult business.

His future is a very bright one because the type of experience he has gathered over the years and the kind of human being he has become, is very very rare indeed.

He really is one of a kind.
