2022 IMMAF africa championships

The 2022 IMMAF Africa Championships was held from 28 to 30 April 2022 at HQ of leading promotor EFC, who is renowned globally for its live, professional MMA events. With over 120 contracted athletes on its roster the promoter has sold out some of the biggest arenas on the continent. 

Hosted by Mixed Martial Arts South Africa (MMASA), in partnership with the EFC Performance Institute, the developmental continental championship will was broadcast from EFC’s studios.

IMMAF’s return to Africa demonstrates the world governing body’s intention to continue investing in the development of grassroots MMA in the region. Participating nations include Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mauritius, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tunisia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
